GTP LE MANS SERIES
SATURDAY 6:00 PM EST
All members and registered applicants of FSB Racing,
Welcome to our 17th season of online racing here at FSB. We have some exciting additions for you this go around for sure. Live broadcasts for Friday night! Milt, "Indy 500 champ" Francis, and myself will be bringing you a new pre-race show live each week through UStream. Also, flag to flag coverage of what is sure to be our most challenging and full series this year. Remember, anyone listed on the homepage is invited to run. Applicants to Pros so all should remember that many are just learning and many have been at if for over a decade. Just be sure to honor the two incident rule and you'll be fine. First come first serve with 42 total slots on the server. (4 reserved for the admin and broadcasters)
We now have GNS racing Wednesday night for points long before Pro Cup fires up. We have GTP Mod racing at full speed of course on Saturdays. We also moved the Rookie Cup Series back a few hours Monday night so it can be the first ever rookie/applicant only series here at FSB, on Server 2. Sportsman Cup will be at the same time for Sportsman to Pro drivers on Server 1. We'll also be adding a Rookie Cup Shootout and a Pro Truck All Star race in December. Be sure to know when your division can race starting now and what server.
I'd like to take a moment to thank all of your series admins for their outstanding reliability and fairness. And, to all the drivers who have made this place a huge success over the past eight years, I thank you. I'd also like to welcome back the many returning drivers to our league. It is great to see that we are doing some things right with so many looking to get back into it. Congrats to all those who did well last season and those who simply survived. Not everyone did. See all the Season 16 stats here.
WCS Recap: Race 8 Las Vegas Motor Speedway Speedway 8/27/10
The Sin City 200 lived up to the hype with 33 drivers taking a shot at the famed desert speedway. Ken Skjei took the pole and led the most laps but an incident at the end sent him to the back. Matt Watkins capitalized on the contact between Jim Gately and Ken. Matt grabbed the lead as the field raced back to the yellow flag with a few laps to go. Matt kept the lead through the green/white checkers to snag his second win of the season. Jim Gately finished second with Bill Yarbrough rounding out the top three. Jerry Foerkolb had a great night finishing 4th and John Seward got his 2nd top five so far. Many cars had a shot at this one but it was down to Skjei and Gately. See the exciting finish above along with flag to flag coverage. Matt Watkins increased his points lead with the rest of the top 5 not changing in the overall standings. Many positions changed from sixth on back. View the Winston Cup Series Points here.
