SERIES BACKGROUND

Our Winston Cup series has been running strong since the Spring of 2006.  We wanted something a bit different than the looks Cup Cars or Trucks.  Shawn Sheaves was our first admin. He gave the series it's own style with numerous "old school" tracks and a fun, Friday night attitude.  He stepped away for a bit after taking the first championship.  Doug Michael graciously stepped in and took this series to another level.

The Monsoon Motorsports Racing team is our latest sponsors of this very popular series.  Three real trophies for the top finishers and a 4th trophy for the highest finishing "Rookie Division" driver.  We brought three road courses into the mix each season to shake things up.  This series symbolizes how NASCAR was in the late 1980s.  Awesome!   Now, we have trophies, broadcast races, and large starting fields every Friday night.  Doug has helped this series become the "Pro Cup of the Sportsman and Rookie Divisions."  This is where FSB drivers do not have to be Pros or Sportsmen yet to earn real trophies.  Top notch competition with veterans and rookies making it as exciting as any series in Sim Racing.   JR 11/14/09
